Trump Attends Major College Football Game in Knoxville

President Donald Trump was greeted warmly in Knoxville, Tennessee, during the much-anticipated game between the Texas Longhorns and the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Just before kickoff on Saturday, Air Force One made a low flyover of Neyland Stadium, which was already filled with fans who followed advice to arrive early.

Trump landed about 30 minutes before the game started at noon.

During the national anthem, there was another impressive flyover. This included a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 134th Air Refueling Wing based at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, as well as two F-35 Lightning jets from the 33rd Fighter Wing in Florida, as reported by Yahoo! Sports.

As Trump appeared on the big screen, the crowd of over 100,000 erupted in cheers, responding to his smile and fist pump.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th President of the United States — Donald J. Trump,” announced the voice over the loudspeaker.

Seated next to him were Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, both from Tennessee.

Hagerty posted images from his time on Air Force One and during the game on his X account, expressing gratitude to Trump for “the lift.”

“Flew into Knoxville this morning with some friends to watch today’s big game,” he shared.

Later, Trump departed from McGhee Tyson Airport at around 2:30 p.m., during the third quarter of the game, with Texas leading.

The Longhorns are currently ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll, while the Volunteers are positioned at No. 14.

Interestingly, Trump has attended more college football games than any other recent sitting president. While in office, he experienced eight games and earlier this year, he was also present at the Indiana vs. Miami game in Florida.
