Crypto scams lost $5.6 billion last year: FBI
According to the FBI, Americans lost more than $5.6 billion to scams involving cryptocurrencies in 2023. The bureau said in a report released Monday that it received more than 69,000 complaints last year from victims of financial scams involving cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether, amounting to roughly $5.6 billion in losses.
