With the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris over, Dave Rubin doesn't believe the tone the mainstream media is trying to convey about the candidates' performances.
“The story you're going to see is that Kamala Harris is the winner because she's very competent, and now a new story is unfolding before us,” Rubin explained. “Trump is old and angry. Kamala Harris is competent, she has her facts, she's happy, she's smiling.”
“But that's not what actually happened,” he added.
ABC presenters Lindsey Davis and David Muir, unusually for a debate, interjected to criticise Mr Trump themselves.
“It was three on one,” Rubin said. “If this was pro wrestling, I would have thought it was a little unfair.”
“They fact-checked Donald Trump over and over, and sometimes dishonestly,” he continued. “They pushed Kamala's lies and never followed up on Kamala's lies. So it was a terrible, clownish farce. Period.”
While the mainstream media and the left are celebrating Kamala's debate victory, Rubin doesn't agree.
“I think Donald Trump has done a great job. He's done a really great job,” he said, noting that it's not easy to debate someone who “lies about everything.”
Liz Wheeler of the Liz Wheeler Show summed up Kamala's lies in a post on X, writing, “Kamala lies about late-term abortion, 'very fine people,' Charlottesville, J6, 'bloodbaths,' crime data, border security, Project 2025, and fracking.”
“These ABC presenters are a disgrace. They are propaganda. They are pravda. They have sold their souls,” she concluded.
“That's exactly what happened,” Rubin said. “Everything she said was, almost without exception, a lie or a distortion, and she knew she could do it because there were two people sitting there conspiring to help her get away with it.”
