Trump, Harris tied nationally in new NBC poll

With just three weeks left until Election Day, a new national poll finds the White House race is deadlocked, with former President Donald Trump and Vice President Harris securing 48% support.

OctoberNBC News investigation results revealedHarris lost support from 49% last month, while Trump increased from 44% in September.

About 4% of respondents said they did not know who they would vote for or did not want to vote for either candidate. This number was down from 7% in the September survey.

NBC noted that while fewer people are unsure about their chosen candidate than in previous surveys, 10% say they may change their minds before the election.

As the Harris campaign seeks to woo black voters, polls have found that Harris enjoys far higher approval ratings than Trump. Among black voters, Harris leads with 84% to Trump's 11% lead.

Among young voters between the ages of 18 and 34, he leads with 58% to the former president's 37%. Among white college-educated voters, Harris leads with 55%, followed by Trump with 41%.

Among rural voters, Trump leads with 72% to Harris' 23%. He also has an advantage among white voters and white voters without college degrees.

NBC noted that the biggest gap is between men and women. Fifty-five percent of women support Harris, while 56% of men support Trump.

Harris has a 2.9 percentage point lead nationally, according to The Hill/Decision Desk headquarters, based on polling tallies.

The NBC News poll was conducted among 1,000 voters from October 4th to 8th. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points.
