Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) announced on Sunday that President Donald Trump decided that he would not comply with the Constitution in celebrating the role of Congress in creating government agencies. I stated.
Partial transcripts as follows:
Margaret Brennan: You talked a lot this week about what USAID means in your life. Especially when you lived in a refugee camp for four years, and you talked about helping you stay alive. This week, federal judges will likely lead to some sort of hearing and decision about what will happen to all of these government workers. Is the court the main line of defense here?
Omar: Yes. So what we are witnessing is a constitutional crisis. We look at administrative agencies they have decided no longer follow the Constitution to honor the role of Parliament in their role in determining where money is allocated. Congressional leadership, speakers do not stop administration through justice. And this is what you know, when you think about the checks and balances we have, the court is the only request we have at this time, and we've seen, When we talk about the illegality of what our executives are doing, we have all executive orders challenged in the courts turned out to be illegal. And I think that our courts should give Americans faith that they are at work. Checks and balance work. What's not working is the way executives act and the Congressional leadership that is failing Americans.
