Trump honors 'Dilbert' creator Scott Adams upon hearing of his passing

President Donald Trump expressed his condolences following the passing of Scott Adams, the influential cartoonist known for the comic strip “Dilbert,” who died at 68 after a battle with cancer. Adams’ ex-wife, Shelly Miles, shared the news during a heartfelt livestream on her YouTube channel, Real Coffee with Scott Adams.

On Truth Social, Trump shared his thoughts, stating, “Sadly, a great influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a wonderful man who loved and respected me even when it wasn’t a pandemic. He bravely fought a long battle with a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family and all of his many friends and listeners. He will be truly missed. God bless you, Scott!”

If you’re curious, Miles mentioned in her livestream, “If you’re reading this, things didn’t go well for me.” She recalled that Adams, in a poignant New Year’s message, wrote about the state of his health and his reflections on faith, noting, “My body broke before my head.” In an unexpected turn, he indicated he had found peace in his beliefs, saying he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Adams had first revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis earlier this year, admitting to facing daily pain and needing a walker. He conveyed a stark sense of realism about his condition, remarking, “If you’re wondering if I’m ever going to get better, the answer is no. It’s only going to get worse.” His candidness, while somber, was typical of his approach.

He had been a vocal supporter of Trump and was among the few to predict his presidential victory in 2016, which, I think, speaks to his unapologetic approach to both his art and beliefs.
