Report: Muslim Brotherhood Embedded in U.S. Government Agencies
Kanta Ahmed from the Independent Women’s Forum appeared on “Fox & Friends” to discuss a recent ISGAP report, which claims the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated various U.S. government agencies. Furthermore, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has labeled CAIR as a terrorist organization.
President Donald Trump has indicated his intentions to classify the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group. This follows increasing warnings from multiple organizations about the group establishing a presence in the country. He stated, “It will be done in the strongest and strongest terms,” and noted that preparations for the official documentation are underway.
Trump’s remarks follow Texas’s designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and the publication of a comprehensive report from the Global Institute for Anti-Semitism Policy (ISGAP). This lengthy study raises concerns about the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence within the U.S.
The Brotherhood, which originated in Egypt, has reportedly gained access to government institutions, influenced civil rights policies, and infiltrated educational systems. ISGAP’s findings suggest that the group is targeting U.S. government departments—such as the State Department, Homeland Security, and Justice Department—through strategic career positions and advisory roles.
ISGAP Executive Director Charles Asher Small welcomed Trump’s remarks, emphasizing that recognizing the threat posed by the Muslim Brotherhood and its ideological networks is crucial for U.S. democracy. He believes a formal designation would be a significant step toward addressing these concerns, encouraging the need for thorough scrutiny of the Brotherhood’s affiliates and financial resources.
In a related note, a report from France has identified similar threats associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, while Senator Ted Cruz is advocating for a U.S. designation of the group as a terrorist organization.
The ISGAP report explores alleged ties to terrorism, pointing to funding sources from nations like Qatar. It suggests that both al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood aim to establish an Islamic State based on Sharia law, varying only in their approaches—specifically, the Brotherhood’s gradual tactics that allow it to blend in more subtly with mainstream society.
ISGAP has indicated plans to coordinate with academics and specialists to push Congress to act on their report’s findings.
Fox News Digital has sought comment from the White House but has yet to receive a response regarding these developments.
“The Brotherhood is the progenitor of all modern jihadist terrorist groups, from al-Qaeda to Hamas,” stated Sebastian Gorka, deputy presidential advisor and senior director of counterterrorism, emphasizing that action is overdue.
