Trump to Honor Ben Carson with Medal of Freedom
President Donald Trump recently shared that Dr. Ben Carson is set to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. There will be a ceremony at the White House to celebrate this honor.
“Congratulations to him. He didn’t even know about this. I hope he’s happy,” Trump remarked during a speech at the Cornerstone Institute’s founder event on Saturday.
Carson, who founded the American Cornerstone Institute, previously served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during Trump’s first term.
It’s interesting to note that Carson ran for president during Trump’s initial campaign in 2016 but eventually withdrew to support Trump.
The ACI’s website describes Carson as someone who ensures there is an organization advocating for the principles that have shaped his life—principles like faith, freedom, and community.
Carson has been actively endorsing other political figures as well; he recently backed Senator Lindsey Graham for re-election, referring to him as “a solid conservative leader” on social media.
Previously, he’s also discussed various issues including education and community welfare, emphasizing a balanced view of what makes America great.
In the realm of politics, Carson continues to maintain a presence, recently expressing support for key candidates while also being involved in discussions related to public welfare and community projects.
