Trump Unveils Renovated Rose Garden and New Club
Washington – A fresh chapter is on the horizon with the announcement of the revamped Rose Garden and the introduction of the Rose Garden Club.
President Trump shared the news on Friday, emphasizing the effort behind these changes. “We’ve made it happen and worked hard to turn a challenging situation into something we can enjoy for years to come. It’s really an incredible place,” he stated.
These updates have experienced prolonged delays. Trump recalled that during past press conferences, he often mentioned challenges, especially those affecting women. “At some point, it’s time to make a difference. We selected excellent stones and set up a great speaker system,” he added.
Interestingly, the White House hadn’t previously made any mention of this new “club” before Friday night’s dinner.
As for the dinner itself, guests enjoyed a rose garden salad featuring baby iceberg lettuce, sunset tomatoes, brioche crackers, chives, and Thousand Island dressing. The main course offered choices like potato croquettes with New York strip steak, grilled broccolini, and spinach in peppercorn sauce, or thyme-roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and young beans in dijon sauce. A vegetarian summer pasta Primavera was also available. Dessert featured a decadent fudge-filled cake.
The Rose Garden Club, as branded, aims to be “the hottest place in Washington, or maybe even the world.” The President expressed excitement about hosting leaders from business, politics, and technology for various dinners at the newly renovated Rose Garden Patio.
While the costs for the renovation, which started in April, remain undisclosed, the Rose Garden is merely one of several projects Trump has undertaken at the White House. Additional plans include enhancing the Oval Office and Cabinet Room with golden decorations, placing two 100-foot flag poles on the north and south lawns, and constructing a $200 million ballroom in the East Wing.
Notably, the decor—especially the yellow umbrella—bears resemblance to Mar-a-Lago’s exclusive club. Trump is known to host frequent lunches and dinners there, often curating the music. Recently, songs like Elvis’ “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” and Procol Harum’s “Whiter Shade of Pale” have echoed through the space as he tested the sound system.
