The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign have issued statements confirming that former President Donald Trump is “in good spirits” after being shot and that the party’s convention will go on as scheduled next week.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley, Republican National Committee Co-Chairs Lara Trump, and Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, senior advisors to Donald J. Trump for the 2024 presidential bid, issued a joint statement. statement He said the Republican National Convention will be “held” next week, with Trump set to be nominated as the party’s presidential candidate.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from July 15th to July 18th.
“As communicated earlier this evening, President Trump is in good spirits and appreciates the swift action of police and emergency responders,” Whatley and Trump said in a statement.

The joint statement from the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign came after gunshots were heard at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, hours earlier.
Gunshots rang out, people could be heard screaming and ducking, and Trump was seen with blood on his ear and the side of his face.
Trump released a statement on Truth Social saying he was “shot by a bullet” above his “right ear.”
