President Trump’s Health Update

President Donald Trump is reported to be in “excellent health” following a recent medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

On Friday, he underwent a check-up, just six months after his regular medical assessment in April, in preparation for upcoming international travel. The exam was conducted by the physician of President Sean P. Barbavera as part of a “continuing health maintenance plan.”

In a letter directed to White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt, doctors mentioned, “These evaluations were conducted in conjunction with leading academic and medical consultants to ensure optimal cardiovascular health and continued health.”

This past summer, President Trump received a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition often seen in older adults. This disorder affects the veins in the legs, resulting in inadequate blood flow due to damaged vessels.

At the time of his diagnosis, photos showed bruises on his hands; the White House explained that this was consistent with his treatment plan. His medication includes aspirin, which can enhance bruising, and his doctor pointed out that “frequent handshaking” also contributed to the bruises.

However, the White House physician affirmed that “comprehensive test results performed in conjunction with the visit were exceptional, including stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters.”

With a trip to Egypt and Israel planned for early next week, the president underwent “preventive health exams and vaccinations,” including a booster for coronavirus as well as a flu shot.

This travel comes as part of efforts to further the peace plan between Israel and Hamas, an agreement reached formally by both sides last week after two years of conflict.

Barbavera commented that President Trump “continues to exhibit excellent overall health,” adding that the president’s “heart age,” as shown by an electrocardiogram (EKG), is “approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.” This allows him to “maintain a grueling daily schedule without restrictions.”

In summary, the doctor concluded, “President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, demonstrating excellent cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.”
