Exclusive: MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Donald Trump Jr. told Fox News Digital that he doesn’t want a role in his father’s administration if the former president is re-elected in November, but he would like “veto power over RINOs” and the power to “stop bad guys from getting into power.”
Trump Jr. also said he was excited that his father’s newly appointed running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, could “keep this movement going for generations to come.”
Trump Jr. spoke to Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview on Tuesday afternoon. The president’s eldest son is scheduled to appear on “Hannity” Tuesday night.

Trump Jr. supported Vance in his father’s campaign because he is a “great America First patriot.”
“I think he’s someone who really believes in that mission. He’s not some neo-conservative warmonger from Washington, D.C., and I think that’s so important,” he told Fox News Digital. “I’m glad to have someone young and bright and energetic who can also help take this movement to the next generation. I think that’s so fundamental and so important.”

Trump Jr. said he trusted Vance as “a businessman, a politician and perhaps one of the most eloquent warriors fighting the insanity on the other side.”
“He’s done a better job than most of our best people in a hostile media space,” he said. “That’s really important to the movement moving forward, and I think he’s going to do a great job as vice president.”
Trump Jr. did not have a formal role in his father’s first administration, unlike his sister Ivanka Trump, who served as a senior adviser.
Asked if he planned to play a role in a second Trump administration, Trump told Fox News Digital: “No.”

“I don’t want a role in government. I don’t want to do that,” he said. “The only role I want is to put people in other positions of power. I just want to stop bad people from getting into positions of power. That’s the only thing I want.”
He added: “I want a veto on RINOs. I want to have a veto on RINOs. That’s all I want.”

Trump Jr. said he was “excited” about a second Trump administration.
“I’m excited about this. This time, we actually know what to do. We know who the bad guys are. We know how to deal with the bad guys,” he said. “I think we can hit the ground running and I think everyone else understands that too. That’s why I think they’re so desperate to prosecute my dad, to chase him, to attack him, to bankrupt him. And when that doesn’t work, they’re going to try to put him in jail.”

He said he believes Democrats are “afraid” of Trump’s knowledge of Washington and his experience in his first term.
“They’re afraid that he’ll come in with knowledge and experience and be an even more effective leader than he was the first time, and I’ve thought he’s been pretty effective,” he said.

“He’s energized. Of course, it’s a very somber and somber moment, but as I walk around the chamber here, I see a unity I’ve never seen before,” he said. “We have great people here who not only understand the gravity of the situation, but who understand what’s going on, what’s going on in this country, and they’re really engaged and ready to bring it back.”
