Trump Knows the Hot-Button Issues; Biden Doesn’t

Former President Donald Trump is no stranger to hot-button issues, as Thursday’s debate made clear, Trump adviser Jason Miller said in an interview. Breitbart News Saturday.

Miller spoke on CNN about Thursday night’s presidential debate, noting that Trump “never stood behind the podium and practiced” against President Joe Biden.

“He never sat and waited for an answer, but he knew the format of the debate well, and he repeated it over and over again, and his answer [would] Perfect timing until the end [he] “Biden knew exactly what he wanted to say to every question,” he said, noting that the moderator repeatedly had to remind Biden that he still had time to respond.

“The contrast is pretty stark, but what you’re saying here is this is a real crisis in America. So it shows that the mainstream media and the mainstream Democrat Party have been covering this up all this time. They knew about this. I mean, if you’re any smart person, you could see what’s going on. But everyone in the mainstream media, everyone in the mainstream Democrat Party knew about this. They’ve been covering this up because of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS),” Miller said.

If there is a second debate, Trump will likely be well prepared, he continued.

“I would be very surprised if the Biden campaign puts Joe Biden on stage again. I mean, if they locked him in a log cabin in the middle of the woods for a week and this is what happens, I don’t think it’s going to help Joe Biden to be locked in a log cabin in the middle of the woods for two weeks,” he said.

“The fact is, President Trump is too good. He knows exactly what he wants to say. He’s too strong. He’s ready to rebuild the country and Joe Biden can’t do that,” he said, stressing that Biden simply lacks good answers.

“Joe Biden would have a hard time, even if he was Biden 20, 30, 40 years ago. How do you explain taking a week off and going to a log cabin in the woods when there are 55 ISIS terrorists running around the country? How do you honestly answer people why you let 20 million illegal immigrants into the United States? What do you say to people who say there’s been literally zero inflation? Biden acknowledged this on stage, and even President Trump was a little surprised by this, but when Biden took office there was zero inflation, there was no inflation problem, and now we’ve had 20% cumulative inflation in the three and a half years since he took office, and in certain areas like energy and mortgages it’s 50% or even 100%. There’s no good answer for the problems that Biden has created,” Miller explained, drawing a contrast by pointing out that Trump knows the key issues.

“As I said, President Trump knows the rules and the formalities, and on top of that, he made some really good points,” he began, explaining that “President Trump understands what people are worried about right now,” pointing out “people’s wallets” and “having to pull out their 401(k)s to pay basic bills, or being forced to choose between gas and groceries, housing prices skyrocketing,” and that people are also frightened by the constant news reports of illegal immigrant crimes.

“I’m really worried about the people who are being killed by Biden’s immigration crimes,” he said, further pointing out concerns about “where the world is heading for those who are following murders in Ukraine, terrorist attacks in Israel, and even Chinese aggression.”

“But President Trump really got the gist of what people were worried about, and Biden seemed keen to go back to the politics of grievance and, you know, it’s a bit of a cliché, but mean tweets and cheap gas are much better. President Trump knew what gets people going. Biden was on the defensive from the moment he walked to the podium, especially when he started coughing,” Miller said.

listen:

“Biden failed to clearly and concisely explain how he would improve people’s lives. The word that came up most often among independents in the Independent’s exclusive word cloud was ‘hopeful.’ President Trump gave people concerned about the direction of the country hope that we can get things right,” Miller added, calling it “the biggest driving force of the debate.”
