Incident at Brown University Leaves Two Dead

President Donald Trump mentioned that the motive of a suspect who fired shots in a Brown University classroom remains unclear. The shooting, which occurred on Saturday in Rhode Island, resulted in the deaths of two students.

Initially, police detained a man linked to the incident at a Rhode Island hotel, yet they released him the following day. On Monday, authorities announced that the search for the actual suspect was ongoing.

“We hope to see some progress,” Trump expressed to reporters, adding, “I hope they capture this individual.” When questioned about the difficulties the FBI is facing in identifying the shooter, Trump suggested it’s often a complicated process, attributing some issues to the school itself.

According to Trump, the responsibility for security lies largely with the schools. “They had security guards and their own police force. It’s really a school issue,” he stated. He emphasized that while the FBI does good work, they typically become involved only after incidents occur.

The tragic shooting resulted in the deaths of two students and left nine others injured. One of the deceased was identified as Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama active in the Republican Party at Brown University. The other victim was Muhammad Aziz Umurzokov, whose family moved to Virginia from Uzbekistan.
