Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in the battleground state of Michigan, according to a recent EPIC-MRA poll.
investigation found Trump is leading Biden with the support of 49 percent of respondents, who are trailing by four points, with 45 percent saying they would support the 81-year-old Trump in a head-to-head match.
Trump’s lead remains the same when third-party candidates are added, with Trump leading with 42% support, followed by Biden with 38% — again a four-point gap. Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is third with 10%, followed by Green Party candidate Jill Stein with 2% and independent Cornel West with 2%.

The survey was released on June 29 but was conducted between June 21 and 26, before the June 27 presidential debate, which caused widespread panic among Democrats.

More from WoodTV:
Of the 600 people surveyed by EPIC-MRA, 42% identified as Democrats, 42% as Republicans, and 13% as independents. By age, 32% were between 50 and 64 years old, 29% were 65 or older, 21% were 35-59 years old, and 18% were 18-34 years old. 80% were white, 10% were black, 2% were Latino, and 1% each were Asian and Native American. The remaining 6% identified as other races or multiple races or declined to answer.
The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points, suggesting a close race in the Wolverine State.
To put it in perspective, Trump won Michigan by just 0.2% in 2016 against twice-loser Hillary Clinton, but Biden won the state by 2.8% in 2020, according to official results.
Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer reportedly warned that the state is no longer winnable following Biden’s performance in Thursday’s debate.
“Governor Whitmer called Governor O’Malley Dillon to send a clearer SOS: to let him know that as a result of the debate, Biden can no longer win Michigan.”

See — what was that?! After a week of rest and preparation, Biden made it through the debate coughing, stumbling and rambling:
