Trump leads Biden in six key states, ties in Minnesota before debate: poll

According to the latest polls, former President Donald Trump is leading President Biden by a landslide in six battleground states.

of Research by Emerson College and The Hill The 45th president narrowly beat Biden in Arizona (47% to 43%), Georgia (45% to 41%), Michigan (46% to 45%), Nevada (46% to 43%), Pennsylvania (47% to 45%) and Wisconsin (47% to 44%).

In all six states, Trump’s lead is either unchanged or has widened since the outlet’s poll conducted last month, before he was convicted by a Manhattan jury of 34 counts of business fraud.

“Our initial polling in several key battleground states since Trump’s conviction last month shows little change, with support for both Trump and Biden remaining roughly steady since November,” explained Spencer Kimball, executive director of the Emerson College Poll.

“Notably, the results are within the poll’s margin of error.”

The poll also showed Trump and Biden neck and neck in Minnesota, with 45% each supporting the president, a state that has voted Republican for president only three times since the start of the Great Depression.

But the Trump campaign argues that this time, the issue is about the “Land of Ten Thousand Lakes.”

“Independents are leaning toward Trump in all seven states, but we’ve seen some shifts among these voters since April,” Kimball said. “In Arizona, Trump’s approval among independents fell five points, from 48% to 43%. In Michigan, Trump’s approval fell three points, from 44% to 41%. In Pennsylvania, Trump’s approval fell eight points, from 49% to 41%. In Georgia, Biden’s approval among independents fell six points, from 42% to 36%. And in Nevada, his approval fell five points, from 37% to 32%.”
