‘Trump Manages to Puncture’ Elitist ‘Bubble,’ ‘Stay Grounded to the People’

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), former President Donald Trump's running mate, told Breitbart in a written interview after his debate victory over Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz last week. Speaking exclusively to the News, Trump said he deserves credit for developing the push strategy. lead him to victory.

Vance told Breitbart News that Trump should focus his criticism on the Democratic presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, instead of wasting time and energy on Walz just before the debate. He said he told him. Mr. Vance said Mr. Trump's idea apparently “worked,” and later thanked Mr. Trump.

Additionally, in this exclusive interview, Vance discusses how President Trump will proceed with his decision-making process, seeking input from many people, including ordinary people as well as closely connected political strategists, before making decisions. I explained how it works. Mr. Vance said the process could be difficult to manage and execute given Mr. Trump's high profile and national security risks, but especially against Mr. Trump, who has failed not once but twice in the past few months. In light of the assassination attempt, he said it was worth it because it would keep President Trump in office. They are “rooted” where people actually are and are in touch with voters. Vance's comments on this front are particularly illuminating, as he himself is currently President Trump's running mate and has received U.S. Secret Service protection, and one of the candidates is wondering how the two It would be interesting to hear you explain how you achieved this.

Mr. Vance also criticized the Democratic Party in general and Ms. Harris in particular for not engaging well with the American people over the past few decades, when Democrats have mostly held power. Vance said President Trump's first term was the only time in decades that ordinary Americans were “freed” from the clutches of globalist elites. Vance said Trump is “running against the globalists” who profit from America's decline, while Harris is fighting against the very same globalists that ordinary Americans are struggling with. He is said to have given him the authority to continue lining his own pockets.

Below are the questions Breitbart News sent to Vance after his discussion with Walz, along with Vance's full responses.

Breitbart News Network (BNN): I distinctly remember many globalists hysterically attacking Trump for choosing you as his running mate. But your performance in the vice presidential debate seems to confirm that he made the right decision on this front, and that Kamala Harris' decision on her running mate was questionable at best. I think this really speaks to President Trump's judgment of the merits and abilities of the people he's empowering. I think this proves that he is more than just a vice presidential candidate and is more capable of making the right decisions with staff all over the federal government with thousands of political appointments. mosquito?

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH): Well, I'm obviously biased, but I think he made the right choice as vice president. What people still don't understand about his decision-making is that he likes to hear from a lot of people. He'll talk to a McDonald's cashier, a Mar-a-Lago gardener, a firefighter, and a billionaire businessman. Because he's so open to talking to people, he understands better than any American leader in recent history what the American people are really like. By the way, it's not easy. Because they live in a bubble between the Secret Service and everything else. Trump has managed to break out of that bubble and maintain distance from the public. I've tried to learn as much as possible from it. That's why we do a lot of “OTR” or unscripted events over the course of a campaign. It's a risk, but if you don't go out and talk to people, you end up living in your own echo chamber.

Obviously, that process is why he chose me to be his vice president, but it's also part of how we've interacted since his selection. We're always exchanging stories, talking about what we hear, and trying to figure out how best to get our point across to the American people. Many of the best ideas for strategy and rhetoric I've gotten from President Trump, either from private conversations in the days leading up to the debate or from the debates I've watched him do.

BNN: Walz's strategy in the debate seemed to be to attack Trump, not attack you. But please correct me if I'm wrong. It seems to me that the biggest moment of the night was probably when you pointed out what a tough job it is for Walz to lie about the Trump administration's successes and try to sell the Kamala administration's failures. Masu. Harris Joe Biden administration.

Vance: So, interestingly enough, Waltz and I had a kind of mirror strategy. He wanted to attack President Trump, and I wanted to clear Kamala Harris' record. Interestingly, the whole idea for our strategy came from President Trump. A few weeks ago, I was talking to him a little off-the-cuff about an argument, and he said, “You know what? And in a way, I was shocked. Everyone in the world has an opinion about Donald Trump, but people still haven't learned who Kamala Harris is. Why would they spend their precious time attacking Tim Walz? Kamala Harris is their frontrunner, and her policies have opened borders and made it impossible to buy a ton of basic goods. You should use your time to build a case against Kamala Harris. Our entire discussion strategy revolved around doing just that.

One of the things that came out of that was, why not use Walz's own record as a weapon against Kamala Harris? A more traditional strategy would be to try to point out the contradictions between Walz and the vice presidential nominee. We ended up using this difference to highlight how bad Kamala Harris' record was. When I called the president after the debate, all he said was, “Thank you,” because the strategy worked.

BNN: Another big takeaway for me from the vice presidential debate was how the Trump administration shows empathy for those who are currently suffering from Kamala Harris' lack of leadership. You went to great lengths to explain how policies under the Harris administration hurt people, while policies under the Trump administration helped people. Could you elaborate more on that? Harris has been in office for four years and hasn't done all the rosy things she said she would do, but President Trump is You actually did everything you said you were going to do when you were, right?

Vance: It's not just that she's been in power for four years, but that her party has controlled the government for most of the past 20 years. From Obama to Biden to Kamala Harris, President Donald J. Trump's term is the only presidential term in which ordinary people have been able to take vacations.

One of the things I think about President Trump's leadership is that he is defiant on the three most important issues against globalists, people who have gained wealth and power by ignoring their own people. It means taking a stand. On trade, “It's stupid to rely on others to make our products. And it's bad for our workers, too.” On immigration, “No one agreed to this level of immigration. But instead of investing in our own communities, Democrats are trying to reshape this country with outsiders.” . It's a shame and we're going to build a wall and protect our borders. ” On foreign policy, he said, “Ordinary Americans send their sons and daughters to the staff of the U.S. military. Rather than fight every stupid war that comes our way, we put America first and protect them. “I want to pay tribute to their sacrifices,” he said. He promises Americans more independence, more sovereignty, and more peace. And, of course, the people who benefit most from those policies are the people who built this country.

It's really not complicated. If a foreign country wants to subsidize the production of a cheap product, or if it wants to use its own slave labor to make a cheap product, it has two options. We could allow that country to flood America with cheap products and destroy millions of jobs in the process. Or we could impose tariffs on those countries to protect American workers.

When people try to cross borders illegally, we need someone with the authority to stop them.

On each of these issues, Kamala Harris represents those who have grown rich from America's decline. Donald J. Trump represents the American people.
