Operation Midway Blitz Celebrates Two-Month Milestone

Operation Midway Blitz, a significant deportation initiative, marked its two-month anniversary this week, prompting leaders to highlight its effectiveness. The operation, particularly in Chicago, has led to a noticeable drop in crime rates, supported by recent data.

In a press release, the Department of Homeland Security declared that crime rates have seen substantial declines since the operation launched in September.

“It stands to reason: Removing the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens from our country results in a lower crime rate,” emphasized Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

Specifically, homicides in Chicago have dropped by 16%, while robberies and carjackings decreased by 41% and 48%, respectively. Traffic-related crimes are also down by 20%.

Interestingly, there has been a 35% reduction in shootings, marking the lowest levels observed in four years.

McLaughlin further noted, “Sanctuary policies have long been a source of frustration amid Chicago’s crime challenges. Today’s historic decrease in violent crime is thanks to the heroic efforts of DHS law enforcement.” She reiterated her earlier point about the link between removing criminal aliens and reducing crime rates.

U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino has led numerous missions, facing threats along the way. Border Patrol agents shared, “We’re committed to making American cities safer, one person at a time.”

President Trump celebrated the operation’s achievements on Truth Social, stating, “In Chicago, we’ve seen dramatic drops in auto thefts, shootings, robberies, and violent crimes, all despite opposition from our local leaders.” He expressed confidence that as resources increase, these numbers would continue to improve.

In his remarks, he also highlighted the challenges posed by local officials, describing them as radical obstacles to law enforcement efforts. He mentioned ongoing violence against ICE and federal agents and expressed frustration at how officials have not taken action against these issues.

The press release featured images of some of those arrested during the operation, categorized as the “worst of the worst” among criminal illegal aliens, many of whom are believed to have gang affiliations.

Additionally, activities have commenced to remember victims of drunk driving incidents, specifically mentioning Katie Abraham, who was allegedly killed by a criminal illegal alien.
