President Donald Trump met with the Japanese Prime Minister at the White House on Friday, where he was ready to discuss topics such as North Korea and American steel.
Isba is the second foreign leader since Trump has returned to presidency following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.
Trump greeted Isba at the entrance to the West Wing, just before noon, before heading to a meeting in the oval office.
The pair asked questions from media members before the private meeting. Leaders have indicated they will discuss the sale of North Korea and US steel by Japanese companies to Nippon Steel.

When asked if they would “discuss North Korea today,” Trump said North Korea is always the topic of discussion with Japan.
“It's always going to be a topic in Japan, especially,” Trump said. “We will discuss North Korea and other things.”
Another reporter asked Trump if he changed his “heart about selling American steel,” but this is not yet complete. In December, the then presidential player came out against a Japanese company that purchased us through a true social post, a Japanese company.
“No, I think we're going to discuss that today,” Trump told reporters, “I've heard there's pretty good information about it.”
Trump also foresaw a press conference on mutual trade next week when asked if he plans to sign an executive order on the topic.
“We're going to announce mutual trade next week, so we'll be treated equally with other countries,” Trump said. “We don't want anything more.”
“We have a press conference and we will lay out it out, he added.
Depending on whether he wanted “specific concessions” from Japan, Trump did not specifically enter, but emphasized strong ties between the United States and Japan.
“We have a great relationship. I don't think there's any problem at all. They want fairness too,” he said.
