President Trump marked St. Patrick's Day in the White House on Monday along with controversial martial arts fighter Conor McGregor.
McGregor met with other White House officials on his visit to campus and briefly spoke with reporters in the briefing room.
“We couldn't think of a better guest with us on St. Patrick's Day,” the Caroline Leavbit news agency said she was standing next to McGregor on the podium.
McGregor took the opportunity to lament the influx of illegal immigrants “devastated” Ireland.
“A rural town where Irish people have become minorities. Irish Americans need to hear this. We need leadership,” McGregor said.
Trump is a fan of boxing and martial arts voices and is a frequent guest at UFC events. McGregor has been a longtime supporter of the president.
McGregor is at the heart of the controversy. Last year, a Dublin ju judge discovered that he was liable for sexual assault during the December 2018 incident. McGregor is Assert your judgment.
