President Donald Trump is set to receive “beautiful flights” from the U.S. if he voluntarily participates in a new initiative led by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) encouraging illegal immigrants to self-report.
According to a report, DHS announced a financial incentive program that offers $1,000 to undocumented immigrants who declare their home country using the CBP Home Mobile app.
Several European nations, like Germany and Denmark, have adopted similar measures that have successfully decreased illegal immigration rates.
“Our goal is to facilitate self-deportation by providing financial assistance for each individual, allowing them to return home with a nice flight… that’s what we’re calling self-destruction,” Trump remarked.
He commended Tom Homan, the Border Patrol Chief, and DHS Executive Director Christy Noem, while criticizing district court judges for their efforts to hinder actions against illegal immigration.
“The courts are facing challenges as they seem to be making abrupt decisions. Will Trump face five million trials?”
“I’m optimistic that the Supreme Court will intervene. Historically, past presidents have addressed significant numbers of undocumented individuals without experiencing this level of scrutiny,” he added.
A few days prior, a federal judge ruled against Trump’s use of alien enemy laws to deport gang members from South Texas. Another decision in California blocked Trump from allocating taxpayer-funded legal assistance for young immigrants contesting their deportation.
