On April 2, three House committees—Judicial, Executive, and Surveillance—released a report alleging “massive fraud” and foreign involvement concerning ActBlue, criticizing the platform for ineffective prevention measures.
The study revealed nearly 500 pages of internal ActBlue documents that were published with the report, indicating a lack of seriousness in preventing fraud, presenting a complacent view.
ActBlue has been a tool for Democrats for more than 20 years.
Utilized by Democratic campaigns for two decades, ActBlue has facilitated a surge of small donations to candidates and causes. Its effectiveness led to Republicans establishing a similar system and achieving success.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Wayley commended the investigation, asserting that “Democrats’ dark money schemes have continued for far too long.”
