Trump paints optimistic picture of America’s golden age during historic congressional address

President Donald Trump gave a hopeful speech in his 90-minute speech to a joint Congress meeting on Tuesday, retaliating America's greatness and success.

“Six weeks ago I stood under this Congressional dome and declared the dawn of America's golden age,” Trump said. “From that moment on, it was nothing but quick and relentless action that led to the biggest and most successful era in the country's history.”

Through his speech, Trump addressed the importance of restoring the economy, saving the working class, strengthening America's energy, cracking down on illegal immigration, and regaining American sovereignty.

“We achieved more in 43 days than most administrations achieve in four or eight years. And we're just starting out,” Trump said. “I will return to this room tonight and report that America's momentum has returned. Our spirit has returned. Our pride has returned. Our confidence has returned. And America's dreams are bigger, bigger and better than ever before.

“American dreams are unstoppable and our country is on the verge of a comeback that the world has never witnessed and perhaps never again,” Trump said.

Trump noted the drastic achievements his administration has made in just six weeks since he took office. Trump has signed nearly 100 executive orders, implemented MAGA mandates, and has taken more than 400 enforcement measures to restore “common sense, security, optimism and wealth” across the United States.

“People chose me to do the job, and I'm doing it,” Trump said. “In fact, many have said that the first month of the presidency is the most successful in our country's history.”
