TRUMP PAYS TRIBUTE: “We Will Miss a True Heavyweight Warrior, George Foreman

President Trump expressed his condolences to the family of George Foreman on social media after the boxer’s passing on Friday at the age of 76.

“George Foreman is dead. What a great fighter!!!” Trump wrote. “He definitely had the heaviest and biggest punch in boxing history.”

He also praised Foreman’s character, saying: “Except for Muhammad Ali, when you were hit, you got off. He was really special, but more than anything, he was a great person and had a greater personality than life,”

His statement comes a day after Foreman’s family announced his death on Instagram.

“Our hearts are broken. In deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr., who set out for peace surrounded by our loved ones on March 21, 2025.”

Foreman was known for his professional boxing career, winning 76 out of 81 professional matches and holding three weight championship world titles.

He was also a supporter of Trump’s and praised him early in his first term as real estate mogul for standing up for himself.

“When you’re interested in something like this, you just have to fight,” he said in a 2017 interview with Fox News.

The President’s tribute comes as he is set to attend the NCAA Wrestling Match on Saturday.
