Trump plans to demand a significant inquiry into the performers at Harris events.

Trump Demands Investigation into Celebrity Support for Harris

President Trump is calling for a significant inquiry into the support that various Hollywood celebrities, including Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Bono, provided to former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 election. He questions whether these figures were improperly compensated under the guise of performance fees.

Trump raised concerns about how much Harris may have paid Springsteen, suggesting that if he truly supports her, accepting money raises ethical questions. He stated, “Isn’t it a major and illegal campaign contribution?” In a post made early Monday on social media, Trump referenced the matter almost six months after defeating Harris in the election.

“I’m demanding a thorough investigation into this,” he continued. “Candidates cannot pay for endorsements, which is exactly what Kamala did, pretending it was for entertainment.” He described the effort as a costly and desperate way to enhance her crowds, labeling it illegal. Trump criticized what he referred to as “unpatriotic celebrities” for exploiting a flawed system.

The White House has yet to respond to requests for information regarding the investigation Trump is seeking.

During her four-month campaign following President Biden’s abrupt withdrawal, Harris held several high-profile events.

Winfrey has publicly stated that she did not receive payment for her support. “I wasn’t paid ten carriages. My time and energy were my way of supporting the campaign,” she posted on Instagram last fall, clarifying that her production company was only compensated for event-related costs. “The people who worked on it had to be paid, and that’s the end of the story,” she added.

On another note, Springsteen has become a vocal critic of Trump, and recently, the president expressed his disdain for the musician after he spoke out against the administration during a performance abroad. Trump remarked, “I don’t like him, I don’t like his music or radical left politics, and importantly, he’s not a talented man.”
