Former President Trump referenced the highly anticipated solar eclipse in a new campaign video posted late Sunday night.
Video posted About the true society It begins with footage of the sun, then cuts to scenes of people wearing eclipse protection glasses and looking up at the sky. The screen reads, “The most important moment in human history…will occur in 2024.”
The video then shows the former president’s silhouette creating the eclipse as people cheer as more people turn to view the eclipse before Trump’s shadow covers the sun.
The caption read, “We will save America…and we will make it great again,” and the video ended with people chanting “USA.”
The next day, President Trump’s former opponent Hillary Clinton reshared a photo of President Trump appearing to stare directly into the 2017 solar eclipse without wearing protective glasses. NASA warned against looking directly at the sun without wearing appropriate glasses during the eclipse.
Millions of people in 13 states will be in the path of a total solar eclipse on Monday, and many will also be able to see a partial solar eclipse in other parts of the country.
