Trump praises OAN White House correspondent as ‘one of the top reporters in Washington’

Trump Praises OAN Correspondent During Oval Office Event

In a recent event at the Oval Office, President Donald Trump heaped praise on One America News (OAN) White House Correspondent Daniel Baldwin, referring to him as “one of the best reporters in Washington.”

During a discussion about the administration’s Most-Favored-Nation drug policy—which aims to lower drug prices in the U.S.—Baldwin posed questions to the President. He referenced a report from the Council of Economic Advisers, which predicted around $529 billion in domestic savings from these drug deals over the next decade.

Baldwin then asked, “Do you believe that the Most-Favored-Nation drug deals are the Republicans’ golden ticket to the midterms?”

Trump replied, “I think the Republicans should walk away with the midterms.”

The President also noted the typical ebb and flow of American political trends, discussing how midterm elections usually lean against the party of the sitting president. “Do we have a psychiatrist in the group?” he joked about this phenomenon, adding, “Nobody knows why.”

Trump went on to list his accomplishments, mentioning the cessation of eight wars and the largest tax and regulation cuts in U.S. history.

Baldwin has been serving as OAN’s White House correspondent since November 2024, following Trump’s re-election. Before that, he joined OAN as a national political correspondent in 2022 and has since covered over 100 rallies during Trump’s campaign.
