Trump promises ‘great’ Iron Dome in US that would be ‘made in America’

Former President Trump Speaking at his birthday rally in Florida, President Trump promised to build an “amazing” Iron Dome for the United States and said it would be “American made.”

“By the end of my next term, I’m going to have a great steel dome built over this country,” Trump said Friday night at his 78th birthday party at West Palm Beach’s Club 47. “We deserve a dome. We deserve a dome that’s built with state-of-the-art technology.”

“This is a missile defense shield, and it’s all going to be made in America,” he said. “Jobs, jobs, jobs.”

Trump said President Ronald Reagan once supported building the Iron Dome in the United States, but “the technology just wasn’t there then.”

“We now have the technology,” Trump said.

Trump said his proposed Iron Dome would be built in the US and create “incredible” opportunities for young people.

“It’s all going to be manufactured in the United States,” he said. “We’re going to build a big, beautiful Iron Dome.”

“This is a great opportunity for young people,” Trump said.

Israel’s missile defense system, known as Iron Dome, is primarily funded by the United States.

The system is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of up to 43 miles.

Since its creation in 2011, the Iron Dome has repelled and destroyed rocket attacks from Hamas militants, Palestinian forces, Iranian drones and missiles.
