Former President Donald Trump vowed that if elected in November, his administration would cut “energy and electricity prices” in half.
At a rally in Asheville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Trump said: said He told the crowd that under Trump, the US would cut energy and electricity prices in half “within 12 months” – and up to 18 months.
“In contrast, I am announcing today that under my leadership, America will commit to the ambitious goal of cutting energy and electricity bills at least in half,” Trump said in his speech.

“I’m going to cut the price in half within 12 months, max 18 months,” Trump added. “And if it doesn’t work out, I’ll say, ‘Oh, well, I voted for him.’ But we still got a good deal down. But we’re aiming to cut the price in half and we can do better. And I’ve delivered on everything I promised. Everything.”
