Trump Hosts Luncheon for Business Leaders Supporting Faith-Based Charities
On Monday, President Donald Trump acknowledged the efforts of CEOs and business figures who dedicate their time to faith-based charitable work during a luncheon held at the White House. The event, set in the state dining room, attracted over 60 prominent business leaders.
Notable attendees are expected to include individuals like Debra Waller, CEO of Jockey International, Lee Dunlap, founder of Quest Event, Albert Huddleston of Eton Energy, and Jimmy Shoppan from Shop’s Materials.
Alongside the President, key Cabinet members will express appreciation to these leaders and encourage ongoing collaboration with the newly established White House Faith Office.
This luncheon represents a new initiative, as officials from the Faith Office have expressed their desire to engage business leaders in supporting charitable causes on both national and international levels.
During his remarks, Trump is anticipated to highlight the significance of the Faith Office to his administration’s agenda, urging business leaders to back programs related to foster care, adoption, family support, and other social issues.
Paula White, a senior advisor at the Faith Office, conveyed that these leaders are using their resources to make a difference. “These are purpose-driven individuals,” she stated, emphasizing the intersection of faith and economics in fostering community development.
The White House initiated the Faith Office earlier this year with an executive order aimed at strengthening faith-based organizations and community services across the nation.
In addition, the office collaborates with experts from the faith community to navigate policy changes that reflect American values more effectively.
