Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) appeared on the show and said former President Donald Trump recognizes how extreme Democrats are on the abortion issue. Breitbart News Daily.
“First of all, I want you to realize that what’s really exciting, and will continue to be exciting, is the Democratic Party’s abortion issue,” Johnson said. “That’s an extreme position. I think President Trump recognizes that, and yesterday he pointed out that there are extreme positions on the Democratic side, and he used the term on abortion to make his position clear. We announced that we would be issuing a statement,” Johnson explained. Trump and his team could be seen “carefully considering how to communicate President Trump’s position.”
Host Mike Slater called himself an “extreme pro-lifer” and explained that most pro-lifers like himself would even support “Trump’s moderate stance on this issue.”
“Yes, this is something that most people, 90 percent of people agree on. It’s so easy that it’s like, let’s give it at least 13 weeks. So why not give California 40 weeks?” Let’s start there and start moving in that direction. That’s crazy,” Slater said.

Johnson said she liked Trump’s description of abortion as a “serious moral issue,” explaining that “it’s about at what point does society take responsibility” to protect the unborn child.
“This is a deep question that needs to be answered on a state-by-state basis,” he said, hoping that Trump could “break through the media filter” in announcing his exact position on the issue.
While the media tries to portray Republicans as extreme, Johnson pointed out that most Americans do not want an abortion beyond 20 weeks, which is the norm around the world.

“Europe, as you know all over the world, is the strangest extreme country right now, but I think most European countries are within 12 weeks. The vast majority of abortions are done before 14 weeks, and most of Americans have an abortion before the 14th week. That’s a reasonable position,” the senator said, adding that Democrats have taken the extreme position of allowing partial abortions up to the point of birth in some cases.
