The Trump administration released 80,000 files related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Tuesday evening. Since the fateful day in Dallas, it has sparked a frenzy of bait among amateur historians, conspiracy enthusiasts and experts who have studied the events of November 22, 1963.
It was not immediately clear whether the files covered new information about the death of the 35th President. Most of it appeared to be related to the initial investigation into the 1964 Warren Commission's assassination.
That committee, led by Chief Justice Earl Warren, concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone as he overlooked Deely Plaza as the President's Motorcade passed under him when he shot Kennedy from the sixth floor of a Texas school book.
The official conclusion of the committee is roundly contested and incredible, with polls feeling that Kennedy was consistently murdered as a result of a conspiracy theories have come to light involving other people the mafia, CIA and disgruntled Cuban exiles.
