Trump responds to $355M New York civil fraud ruling: Watch live

Former President Trump is expected to comply with a New York civil fraud judge’s ruling ordering him to pay more than $355 million for conspiring to alter his net worth to obtain tax and insurance benefits.

In a series of posts on Truth Social after the verdict, Trump lambasted Judge Arthur Engoron, saying there were “no victims, no restitution, no complaints.”

Engoron’s 92-page verdict came just weeks after closing arguments in the case capped a months-long trial in which Trump frequently criticized the judges and prosecutors who brought the case.

The fine is about $16 million less than the $370 million the attorney general’s office asked a judge to force President Trump to pay. Trump will also be barred from conducting business in New York for three years.
