Trump reveals Europe will supply a large quantity of diesel oil as prices decrease from their highs.

Europe to Release Diesel Fuel Reserves

WASHINGTON — President Trump stated on Friday that Europe will be releasing a substantial amount of diesel fuel after urging allies to tap into their emergency reserves.

“Europe has just agreed to release a massive amount of their heavily stocked Diesel,” Trump announced on Truth Social. “The process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

However, specifics regarding the volume of diesel to be released and the timeline for its availability were not disclosed. This statement followed an urgent meeting of the G7, led by French President Emmanuel Macron, focused on the global energy landscape.

The Elysee Palace confirmed that Trump and Macron had a conversation on Thursday evening about the importance of collaborating to tackle rising fuel prices and guarantee the global supply of refined petroleum products.

This announcement arrives as gas prices are starting to decline from their peaks observed earlier in September. The national average price for a gallon of regular fuel was reported at $4.40 as of Friday morning, reflecting a decrease of over nine cents from the previous week, according to AAA.

Diesel prices stood at $6.37 per gallon, down 15 cents from the all-time high recorded on September 22.

As the November 3 election approaches, voters have identified the high cost of living, particularly gas prices, as their primary concern.

Additionally, Reuters revealed on Friday that Trump may consider signing an executive order as early as next week, aimed at lowering diesel prices. It’s still uncertain if this would involve an export ban, a topic many analysts have debated in recent weeks.
