Trump reveals Katie Zacharia's appointment as White House press secretary.

Trump Appoints Katie Zacharia as White House Press Secretary

In a recent post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump announced that he has chosen Katie Zacharia, a lawyer and media adviser, to fill a key role in his administration as the new White House press secretary. This decision, confirmed by White House officials and initially reported by The New York Times, highlights an internal media expert who currently works as a senior communications adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social.

The position has been vacant since Karoline Leavitt’s departure, leaving a noticeable gap in the administration’s media operations at a critical time, especially with midterm congressional elections approaching.

Before her role at Truth Social, Zacharia had established a solid background in conservative media and various state-level policy groups. She briefly worked as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kristi Noem earlier this year before leaving that position.

Moreover, Zacharia has served as a lawyer and legal adviser for Fix California, a conservative political organization started by former ambassador Richard Grenell. She’s also been a regular commentator on several TV networks, including One America News (OAN), Fox News, and Newsmax.

If she takes on the press secretary role, Zacharia will be responsible for shaping the administration’s messaging during an important political period. This includes being the primary point of contact between the White House and the press, which entails managing daily briefings.

As of now, White House officials have not specified when they will hold a formal press conference to introduce Zacharia to the media.
