Trump Announces Major Trade Agreements

Donald Trump has revealed significant trade deals with Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. These agreements are aimed at enhancing economic ties between the United States and these nations.

In the agreement with Japan, Trump stated that the country would invest $550 billion in the U.S. and obtain 90% of the profits from that investment. This deal includes Japan opening its markets to imports such as cars, trucks, and rice, while agreeing to pay a 15% mutual tariff to the U.S.

“We have just completed a massive deal with Japan, which could be the largest in history. Japan will invest $550 billion in the U.S. and reap 90% of its profits. This deal is set to create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and Japan will open its markets to trade for various products,” Trump expressed. “It’s an exciting time for the U.S. as we continue to build strong relations with Japan. Thank you for acknowledging this!”

The second deal is with Indonesia, where the country will welcome U.S. industrial and agricultural products by removing 99% of its tariffs. The U.S. will be able to sell its products to Indonesia without tariffs, while Indonesia will pay a 19% tariff on imports to the U.S.

“I’m proud to announce this agreement with Indonesia, represented by the esteemed President Prabowo Subianto. Under this deal, Indonesia will open its market to U.S. goods by eliminating nearly all tariffs. We’ll sell American products at zero tariff rates there, while Indonesia will incur a 19% tariff when exporting to the U.S. This is a tremendous win for various sectors, including farming and manufacturing,” Trump noted. “We’re excited about significant transactions, like purchasing Boeing aircraft and obtaining important minerals from Indonesia. Thank you for your attention!”

Lastly, the agreement with the Philippines offers open trade with the U.S. is accompanied by zero tariffs, although the Philippines will pay a 19% tariff on their exports to the U.S. Additionally, military collaboration is promised as part of this partnership.

Trump remarked, “Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos had a great visit, and we wrapped up our trade deal successfully. This agreement fosters an open trade environment with zero tariffs. The Philippines will pay 19% in customs duties, and we’ll work together militarily. It was an honor to be with President Marcos, who is respected in his country and a skilled negotiator. We look forward to enhancing our relationship with the wonderful people of the Philippines!”
