Trump Shares Plans for Presidential Library
On Tuesday morning, former President Donald Trump unveiled an animated video showcasing the design for his anticipated presidential library, which will be located in a waterfront skyscraper in downtown Miami.
Trump shared this video through his platform, Truth Social. Additionally, his son, Eric Trump, released a video on X, elaborating on the library and labeling it as a “timeless testament” to his father’s influence.
Eric expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “For the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project with an amazing team.” He emphasized that the library serves as a tribute to “a great man, a great developer, and the greatest president our country has ever known.”
Last year, the property was transferred to the Eric Trump Foundation after being donated by Miami-Dade University, leading to some controversy. Initially, a federal judge blocked the transaction over concerns about inadequate notice regarding a public meeting on the matter. However, that decision was later overturned, enabling the university’s trustees to vote in favor of returning the land to the state of Florida, and subsequently to Eric Trump.
According to the Sunshine Law agreement, construction of the library, museum, and center must commence within five years, or the land will revert to the state.
Eric added, “These images have never been released to the public until today. Enjoy!”
The video illustrates the proposed site, featuring landscaped grounds, palm tree-lined pathways, and fountains, all surrounding the striking tower. Inside, plans include displaying military aircraft and Air Force One in a grand, auditorium-like space within the glass and gold structure.
The library, designed by the Miami-based architecture firm Bermelo Ajamil, is planned to be an impressive 50 stories tall. Further plans involve recreating both the amphitheater and the Oval Office, announced amid ongoing construction of Trump’s White House Ballroom, which faced a temporary halt due to legal issues.
“This landmark on the ocean in Miami, Florida, will be a lasting testament to a great man, a great developer, and the greatest president in our nation’s history,” Eric stated on social media.
This announcement coincided with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signing legislation to rename Palm Beach International Airport, which is close to Trump’s residence, the Donald J. Trump Presidential International Airport.
“Miami deserves this building,” Eric Trump remarked, “It will be a masterpiece unlike anything seen in Florida or anywhere else.”
