Trump rips Biden’s ‘sick smile’ after conviction

Former President Donald Trump on Friday criticized President Biden’s “creepy smile” after being asked about Trump’s conviction at the end of a press conference.

“See that creepy smile?” Trump wrote in the caption of an email he sent to supporters on Wednesday.

The email included a GIF of Biden smiling as he left a press conference where he announced a proposal to end the Israeli-led war in Gaza.

When asked how he responded to Trump directly shifting the blame for the hush money ruling to him, Biden began to walk away from reporters, but the president stopped with his back to reporters, turned around and smiled.

He then slowly turned around, waved his hand dismissing further questions, and walked out of the room. The video went viral as people across the country reacted to President Trump’s historic decision.

The former president, who began fundraising immediately after the conviction, said in an email on Wednesday that Biden wasn’t laughing because he convicted Trump, “he’s laughing because he’s taking aim at you.”

“Biden smirks at the destruction of our country, but he will cry in November because of your actions today,” Trump said in the email. “Please stand with me today and be patriotic.”

The Trump campaign isn’t the only one to criticize Biden’s response. Comedian Jon Stewart, speaking about Biden’s smile on “The Daily Show,” questioned why it all “had to get so weird.”

The former president’s email came shortly after the conviction, when his adult son, Eric Trump, highlighted his father’s campaign fundraising numbers, saying the campaign had raised $52.8 million within 24 hours of the verdict.
