Harris and Trump faced off for the first time on Tuesday on ABC News. Trump previously debated President Joe Biden on June 27. After Biden stumbled on stage, Democrats began pressuring the 81-year-old to drop out of the presidential race. Nearly a month later, Biden did just that, endorsing his vice president.

Trump then offered Harris three debates, of which the vice president accepted only one. After agreeing to a September 10 debate, Harris' campaign released a statement saying they would hold another in October if Trump attended the September debate.

“The first thing a boxer says when he loses a fight is, 'I want a rematch.' Although the polls clearly show that I won Tuesday night's debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the radical left Democratic candidate, she immediately demanded a second debate. She and Bad Joe have destroyed our country by allowing millions of criminals and psychopaths to enter the country completely unchecked and untested, and bankrupting the middle class with inflation,” Trump wrote.

“Everybody knows about this and all the other issues that Kamala and Joe have caused. It was discussed at length in the first debate with Joe, and in the second debate with Comrade Harris,” he continued.

During Tuesday's debate, Vice President Harris sought to rile up Trump by mocking his rallies and the results of the 2020 election. Conservative commentators and viewers grew frustrated with the moderators, who repeatedly fact-checked Trump's statements but did not correct Harris when she repeated stories that had previously been denied.
