Former President Trump said Tuesday that he will be interviewed by billionaire tech and media mogul Elon Musk next week.
“I have an important interview with Elon Musk on Monday night. More details to come,” Trump said. I wrote this in a short post On his Truth Social website.
The former president’s announcement came just days after he hosted internet mogul Adyn Roth at his Mar-a-Lago estate as he sought to drum up online buzz about his campaign for a second term in the White House.
Musk is the owner of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and has a history of encouraging conservative content creators and conspiracy theories.
The tech mogul said late last month that he planned to scale back his pledge to donate tens of millions of dollars a month to the Trump campaign, instead donating at a “much lower level.”
Trump has given numerous interviews to Fox News and conservative media in recent weeks, but pressure is growing for him to debate VP Harris, who has said she is ready to face Trump on ABC on September 10. Trump has said he will not debate Harris on ABC, citing the network’s bias against him, and has suggested the pair debate at a Fox News-sponsored event a week earlier.
