Trump Scheduling Medical Checkup at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump is set to visit Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday for a routine medical checkup, according to the White House. The visit will take place in Bethesda, Maryland, where he will engage with military personnel. White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt mentioned that during this trip, Trump will participate in a scheduled meeting and also take time for his annual health examination before heading back to the White House.

At 79 years old, Trump is reportedly contemplating a trip to the Middle East soon after, which follows Hamas’s agreement to the initial phase of his peace deal aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza and ensuring the return of hostages.

Experts Impressed with Trump’s Stamina

This checkup marks Trump’s second medical evaluation this year; a similar one was done in April, during which his doctor confirmed that he was in good health.

Concerns Over Trump’s Health

While Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbavera, Trump’s physician, reported that he had good heart, lung, and neurological functions, there have been some health concerns as well. In July, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where the veins struggle to return blood to the heart. Leavitt stated that the president had noted some mild swelling in his lower legs, leading to his referral to the medical department.

Levitt also attributed the bruising observed on Trump’s hands to frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin. It’s certainly a lot to keep track of, but then again, health issues can be pretty common in public figures.
