Trump Shares His Thoughts on ‘The View’ Co-Host Who Was Once His Employee

Trump’s Remarks on Former Aide Alyssa Farrah Griffin

President Donald Trump didn’t hold back on Tuesday regarding Alyssa Farrah Griffin, a co-host of “The View” who previously worked in his administration. When asked about Griffin’s recent comment that he would wear a MAGA hat if he successfully freed all Israeli hostages from Gaza, Trump mentioned that Griffin had sent him a letter complimenting him before joining the show, although it hasn’t been confirmed that such a letter exists.

“Let’s talk about Alyssa. She worked here, and at one point, she wrote me the most beautiful letter. After I left, she wrote me this fantastic note—really nice,” Trump recalled. “It seemed like she was endorsing me, saying I was a great president. But honestly, I didn’t think she was that impressive. I figured she wouldn’t last long, and she didn’t play a major role in the administration. Then there was January 6, which was a turning point, and she left shortly after.” He continued, “She did send me a lovely letter, but not long after she departed, she changed her tune.”

Despite Trump’s previous release of 20 Israeli hostages freed from Hamas, Griffin still hasn’t made good on her promise regarding the MAGA hat. The hostages’ release is a central aspect of Trump’s peace plan, which also includes a proposal for the withdrawal of Israeli troops to designated areas.

Griffin later stated that Trump and his administration deserve “tremendous credit” for their achievements. She served as press secretary for former Vice President Mike Pence and as a special assistant to Trump from October 2017 to September 2019, later taking on the role of Pentagon spokesperson. However, she has been a vocal critic of Trump since leaving the administration in 2021 to join “The View.”

Griffin did not respond to requests for comments. The co-hosts of “The View” have often criticized Trump, declaring him “completely unfit” to serve as president and mentioning they supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in the last election. One of the co-hosts went as far as to call Trump “the most dangerous person” to hold the presidency during a segment on the show.
