Sen. Blumenthal on Trump

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) expressed his views on CNN’s “News Central” regarding President Donald Trump, suggesting that he represents a “Mount of Corruption.”

Blumenthal criticized Trump for hosting a dinner for the top 220 investors, stating that this reflects fraudulent activities. He argued that Trump’s position allows these investors access to him, emphasizing that it’s not simply about being the president, but more about the influence and connection he has with them. He mentioned that if these investors have matters pending before the SEC, it highlights a concerning level of fraud.

He further stated, “The only benefit of this memecoin is that it seems he’s just lining his own pockets and funneling money to his family. This is perhaps the clearest abuse of presidential power in American history.”
