Mike Pence on Qatar Jets for Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence expressed on NBC’s Meet the Press that he believes President Donald Trump should decline Qatar jets for his potential air force.

Pence pointed out, “First, it’s important to consider who Qatar is. There are military bases there. I have a close family member who was deployed in that region. However, Qatar has historically balanced its affiliations; they do support Hamas.”

When host Kristen Welker asked if that meant Trump should reject the offer, Pence responded, “I believe he should. You know, people have noted that there’s a significant concern regarding the safety and security of the President of the United States during international travel. There’s also the matter of intelligence considerations, which the President will likely take into account.”
