Trump’s Proposed Presidential Library in Miami

A newly released animated video showcases President Donald Trump’s concept for a presidential library situated in downtown Miami, featuring a striking skyscraper and museum space by the waterfront.

On Tuesday, Trump shared a post on Truth Social offering a first glimpse of the project, while his son, Eric Trump, elaborated on X. He described it as an “everlasting testament” to his father and his legacy.

Eric mentioned, “Over the last six months, I’ve put everything into this project along with an incredible team.” He expressed that the waterfront site would serve as a tribute to “an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the best president our country has seen.” He added, “These images are being shared with the public for the first time today. Enjoy!”

Leading the project’s development, Eric serves as the chairman of the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation and is a board member as well.

The video, set to dramatic orchestral music, begins with sweeping aerial views of the proposed location, depicting landscaped areas with palm trees, water features, and green spaces. It then reveals a towering glass structure.

This design features a tall glass tower crowned with a spire, Trump’s name emblazoned in gold, and a large American flag prominently displayed. On the ground level, a plane resembling Air Force One is showcased, complete with golden escalators reminiscent of Trump Tower in New York City.

Other renderings portray military aircraft displayed within the facility, as well as an auditorium space featuring a towering gold statue of Trump, a stage, and extensive digital screens.

Additionally, the design incorporates replicas from Trump’s presidency, including the Oval Office and West Colonnade, and plans for a ballroom. The library is set to be constructed on approximately 2.6 acres of waterfront land and designed by the Miami-based architecture firm Bermelo Ajamil.

In late September, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet voted in favor of transferring the land to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation.

The proposed library site, located near Trump National Doral, faced a brief legal challenge after a federal judge initially halted the land transfer from Miami-Dade College. However, the transfer was eventually cleared in December.

Currently, the site functions as a staff parking area for Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus and is situated next to the historic Freedom Tower, which symbolizes the city’s immigration heritage from the 1960s and 1970s.

The location is flanked by luxury condominiums and boasts waterfront views, directly facing the Kaseya Center, home to the Miami Heat, and Dodge Island, known for hosting large cruise ships.

While media reports estimated the property’s value at over $66 million, The New York Times speculated, according to real estate experts, that it could fetch at least $360 million.

Trump’s post also included a call for supporters to contribute to the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation. Other board members include Tiffany Trump’s husband, Michael Boulos, and Trump attorney James Kiley.

Interestingly, Trump’s unveiling of the library project coincides with the upcoming opening of former President Barack Obama’s Presidential Center in Chicago, set for June.
