Trump states that the decision to release the audio of Hur’s interview with Biden is in Bondi’s hands.

On Friday, President Trump became emotional when asked about an interview where a special adviser might have shared a tape featuring former President Biden. This raised some doubts about Biden’s memory, especially since Trump admitted he hadn’t looked into the matter.

“I’m not considering that. It’s part of Pam and the group,” Trump stated while speaking to Air Force reporters, referring to Attorney General Pam Bondy. “I’m not really looking into it.”

“Look, everyone understands his situation,” Trump added. “I know someone who is actually in great shape at ages 89, 90, 92, and 93. But Joe isn’t like that; there’s been a lot of concealment. They were really playing the game, and you can’t do that.”

Earlier this month, reports indicated that the Trump administration was prepared to release audio of an interview with Biden, in connection with a special adviser’s probe into the handling of classified documents during Biden’s term.

Last year, Har, the adviser, noted in a report that voters might perceive Biden as “an older man with sympathetic and well-meaning memories.”

The transcript of the HuR interview was made public last year. However, the Biden Justice Department has denied requests from some Republican members for recordings related to it.

Biden’s mental sharpness has been scrutinized in future publications from Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson. Their book, “The Original Crime: President Biden’s Decline, Concealment, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” explores how the previous administration sought to downplay the situation of a Democratic president.

Biden eventually stepped back from the 2024 presidential race last July, which allowed then-President Harris to enter the contest against Trump.
