Trump States Video Showing Objects Being Thrown from the White House Window Is Created by AI

Trump Questions Authenticity of White House Virus Video

President Trump suggested that a viral video showing objects being thrown from the second floor of the White House was likely generated by AI. This claim arose after his aides asserted that the footage was genuine and linked to work done by a contractor.

During a press briefing in the Oval Office, Trump stated, “It was probably generated.” He went on to express that the White House windows cannot be opened, explaining, “You can’t actually open the windows. Why do you know? They’re all very armored and bulletproof.” He seemed to reflect a bit, mentioning how cameras are everywhere in the vicinity.

Trump also recalled that First Lady Melania Trump had previously mentioned wanting more fresh air. “She said, ‘I want a little fresh air.’ But you can’t. They are bulletproof, number one. They are sealed. Second, each window weighs about 600 pounds. You have to be pretty strong to open them,” he explained.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doucy attempted to show Trump the video on his smartphone. However, an aide noted that the windows could have been opened as part of a renovation project for Lincoln’s bedroom, which Trump refuted. “Yeah, those windows are sealed. All of these windows are sealed. You can’t open them,” he insisted.

The president further elaborated on the implications of AI, stating that if something goes wrong, it’s easy to simply blame the technology. “One of the problems we have with AI is both the good and the bad. If something is really bad, you just blame the AI. But they create things. You know, it works both ways,” he said.

Moreover, he expressed some concern about the prevalence of fake content that he has encountered throughout his life, saying, “I see so many fake things. I’ve seen something when I was growing up, since I was a baby. I said, ‘Who did that?’ It’s a bit scary to tell you honestly, but all those windows are very badly sealed.”

According to aides, the footage scrutinized by the president reportedly came from a contractor performing routine maintenance while Trump was away. They asserted that it seemed to have been filmed from the rooftops of a nearby hotel or adjacent building and that there was uncertainty regarding what exactly was being thrown through the window.
