Senator Banks Lauds Trump’s Impact on Republican Party

During a recent event hosted by Breitbart News, Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) spoke about President Donald Trump’s effectiveness in his second term, emphasizing the transformation within the Republican Party influenced by the MAGA movement.

Banks highlighted the notable differences compared to Trump’s first term, pointing out how former anti-Trump personalities like Paul Ryan contrast with a more cohesive Republican group now supporting Trump’s agenda.

“The evidence is in the pudding,” Banks remarked, noting that Trump has reshaped the party in a way that aids in winning crucial battles for Americans.

He added, “But we must continue to push forward. We need to create more affordable housing options for working-class families. Right now, buying or building a home is just too expensive. Lowering interest rates is essential for that.”

He also expressed concerns regarding some Senate Republicans who, he believes, are holding back Trump’s priorities, particularly concerning immigration policies.

“It’s important that we make [Trump’s immigration policies] permanent, to ensure we don’t revert to old ways,” he urged.

The event, which was held in partnership with CGCN and the AFLA Institute, featured discussions on Trump’s economic policies and trade agreements. Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle moderated, along with John Carney who interviewed Joe Lavolguna, a Treasury official from Trump’s second administration.

Boyle and Carney worked alongside James Blade from the White House and Senator Banks for this event, which was part of a series of policy discussions involving Trump administration officials.
