President Donald Trump has enacted a presidential memorandum to revoke the security clearance of the former director of CISA.
Trump issued multiple executive orders during his Oval Office session on Wednesday, but White House secretary Will Scharff informed Trump that the memorandum concerning Krebs “messes around with the government that he may have.”
…
“I don’t know if I met him. I’m sure I did, but I didn’t recognize him, and he came out right after the election – it was a connected election, a dreadful integrated election. “Look at what transpired in our country. Open border, millions of individuals flooding into our country. Russia and Ukraine, that never occurred. October 7th was unprecedented. Injuries, arms, injured faces, and this is due to the incompetent group leading us.
The memorandum also initiates an investigation into Krebs and former DHS official Miles Taylor.
Details: The order mandates the Department of Justice to probe the actions of both officials while serving as government officials and temporarily remove clearances held by known peers.
Regarding Taylor, the order specifically calls into question security clearance for individuals at the University of Pennsylvania. Taylor serves as a lecturer and “pending a review of whether such clearance aligns with national interest,” as stated by the White House.
In the case of Krebs, security clearance also pertains to any or all staff at Sentinel Lawn, a cybersecurity firm where Krebs is currently employed.
Krebs’ DOJ inquiry “entails a thorough evaluation of all CISA operations over the last six years and identifies any instances where Krebs or CISA’s actions may violate the administration’s commitment to federal censorship of free speech and dismissal.”
Trump is probing the deep state.
