WASHINGTON – President Trump even said Tuesday that illegal immigrants who prioritize legal status if self-denial want to live in the United States will speed up the process by providing flight tickets and cash.
“We’re going to give them a scholarship,” Trump, 78, told Fox Noticias host Rachel Campos Duffy in an interview aired Tuesday.
“We’re going to give them some money and plane tickets, and we’re going to work with them,” he added. “If they’re good, if we want to get them back, we’re going to work with them and get them back as soon as possible.”
Trump argued that the administration’s priorities still do not only cross borders immigrant criminals.
“We want great people to stay,” he answered a question from Campos Duffy about illegal immigrants who had been in the United States for 20 years and built a family.
“But one thing I do is make farmers, hotels and so on easy because you have a lot of farmers that you can’t.
If illegal immigrants choose to use the administration’s CBP app for self-denial, Trump vowed that they would have a better shot to legally return to the US.
“At some point, we want people to go out [and] Please come back legally. You know, we are, as you probably know, we are self-reporting and we are going to make it comfortable for people. We will work with those people and legally return to our country. ”

Last month, the Department of Homeland Security remodeled former President Joe Biden’s CBP One app to allow immigrants to announce self-denial rather than allowing them to come to the US through the legal channels of their mobile phones.
According to DHS data, the app was used to hospitalize 936,500 people between January 2023 and December 2024.
Last week, almost a million immigrants were issued warnings to self-promotion “quickly.”
“A formal termination notice will be issued and affected aliens will be urged to voluntarily self-destruct using the CBP Home app.
